President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has expressed gratitude for the opportunity to support the “Walk for Peace” initiative, which carries a message of peace across the country.
In a post on his official X account, the President invited all Sri Lankans to join in promoting peace, compassion, and unity among communities.
He further noted that the walk, which carries Sacred Relics of the Buddha and a Bodhi tree sapling, provides an opportunity for the public to reflect on the values of peace and compassion that define Sri Lanka’s heritage.
The President emphasized that the initiative aims to strengthen unity within the nation while sharing a message of peace with the world.
