Appointments Handed Over to Sri Lanka Cricket Transformation Committee

Appointment letters were officially presented to members of the “Cricket Transformation Committee,” established to streamline governance and implement structural reforms in Sri Lanka’s cricket administration, at a ceremony held yesterday (04) under the patronage of Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage at the Ministry premises.

Committee members Sidath Wettimuny, Thushira Radella, Prakash Schaffter, and Avanthi Colombage received their letters of appointment.

The Ministry further stated that former veteran cricketers Roshan Mahanama and Kumar Sangakkara, who have also been named to the committee, are currently overseas and will be handed their appointment letters upon their return to the island.

The committee has been established under the provisions of the amended Sports Act No. 25 of 1973 and is tasked with reviewing the administration of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and implementing necessary structural reforms.
