Vietnamese President Luong Cuong warmly welcomed President Anura Kumara Disanayake during an official ceremony held in Hanoi this morning (05), marking the commencement of a state visit from May 4–6.
As part of his on-going state visit to Vietnam, President Anura Kumara Disanayake paid his respects this morning (05) at the War Heroes' Monument in Hanoi by laying a floral wreath in honour of those who sacrificed their lives.
At the invitation of His Excellency Luong Cuong, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, President Anura Kumara Disanayake, who is currently on a state visit to Vietnam, extended an open invitation to Vietnam’s leading conglomerate, Vingroup, to explore investment opportunities in Sri Lanka’s real estate and tourism sectors.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa districts after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy falls above 50 mm are likely at some places.
